Gideon the Ninth has been about a third of the way down my to-read pile for a while, and this is the review that's made me feel most like bumping it up!

Also, as soon as I saw David Mitchell's name, my first question was "the comedian or the other book-writer," and I was very glad to get an immediate answer and the one I was hoping for. :D
