Age Gap Exchange 2019
Dear author,
Bobbi Morse/Jemma Simmons
I shipped these two from literally the first moment they appeared on screen together. I love how intimidated Jemma is by Bobbi when they first meet undercover with Hydra, and how quickly her fear turns to starry-eyed admiration when she learns that Bobbi is on her side. And I love how Bobbi combines her badass special agent cred with so all that personal warmth and charisma. In her natural state she's less the cruel, distant Domme type and more the supportive older mentor with tons of affection and genuine respect for Jemma.
That said, I would absolutely lap up an undercover Hydra fic where Bobbi has to lay on the sadism nice and thick to keep both of them safely under the radar. Angst, guilty pleasure or dark PWP - I'll take it any way it comes!
Alternatively, maybe some iddy hurt/comfort set after Bobbi gets tortured? For perhaps the first time, Jemma sees Bobbi as something other than unstoppably badass - how does she react? What can she do to make it better?

I'm aware that my Faith ships are potentially awkward with my hi-I'm-Australian underage smut DNW. Sorry, author! If you're writing explicit sex, I think it's plausible for her to be slightly older than Buffy at 18 (I'm finding conflicting sources on her actual canon birthdate, so ... eh, let's go with the one that best fits the story). And if you're not writing explicit sex, I don't mind either way what age you set her at. :)
Drusilla/Faith Lehane
Look, I have no pretensions to deep artistic though here. When I first saw this ship tag, not a single one of my thoughts was printable in a family publication. I'm looking at two insanely attractive, attractively insane enemies and saying yes, please, more of that. Buuut I also think there's room for a really interesting dynamic: Dru's obviously attracted to swaggering badasses in leather jackets, and Faith's better nature has plenty of ax-crazy mixed in with it. They could bring out the glorious worst in each other.
Prompts:
- Drusilla takes in Faith as a new pet. Maybe she turns her or maybe she doesn't, but either way, she's very interested in this second slayer's violent tendencies and natural flair for cruelty.
- Faith hunts Drusilla, but when she goes for the killing blow, something holds her back.

Joyce is the kind, stable, loving mother Faith spent her whole life dreaming of. I have no issue with this as a one-sided ship, where Faith expresses her deep-seated need for security and affection the best way she knows how: by sexually fixating and dialing her leather-clad seductress act up to eleven in the desperate hope of securing Joyce's interest.
But from day one Joyce has seen through Faith's bravado to the vulnerable girl underneath, and I'm equally here for her reciprocating the best way she knows how: with a three-veg dinner and a firm but loving older woman's hand.
Prompts:
- Faith turns on her full pouty sex bomb offensive, because if it's worked on so many older men, why shouldn't it work on Joyce? Except it doesn't seem to be working at all, and she doesn't understand why. Maybe a deeper neckline, maybe another layer of Harlot lipstick...

I don't even care how it works, I just so badly want my two favourite sympathetic trashfire assholes to meet and get it on. They've got so much in common! Pre-redemption, they can bond over how wronged and unloved they feel and how this totally justifies their brutal violence towards other people, and how lucky they are to have their one creepy older-man mentor who nurtures their potential the way they deserve. Post-redemption, they can bare their souls to each other about guilt and remorse and the burden of power. Or if there's a timeline mismatch, and one of them has returned to the light while the other is still off the rails, they'd make glorious enemies who know exactly how to hit each other's buttons.
This is the one ship that has really snuck past my self-imposed 'major power differentials only' rule for this exchange. Actually, I think it could be a lot of fun to subvert the age gap: I'm a huge fan of virgin/inexperienced Kylo Ren headcanons, where for whatever reason (religious beliefs, self-esteem issues, time constraints) sex just hasn't factored much into his life. Faith, despite being younger, is a lot more experienced and adventurous on that front. Maybe she can introduce Kylo to the life-changing magic of getting his dick wet?
Melinda May/Natasha Romanoff
Confession: I followed AoS religiously for the first few seasons, but fell behind mid-season 4 and haven't yet caught up. While I have zero aversion to spoilers, if you base a story on later-season plot points I may need some extra explanatory text to help me track what's going on. I'd be thrilled with any fic set pre-canon, seasons 1-3 or over in the movie canon (which I'm much more on top of). I'm also a-okay with canon divergent AU!
Natasha spends so much of her life acting tough and untouchable. I'd love to see those walls of hers come down a bit with an elite older mentor who sees right past the bullshit because she's walked that path herself. May outwardly does the tough-as-nails ice maiden thing, but we've seen she has a soft side and a deep maturity that's come from facing her past traumas head-on and overcoming them.
Mentorship, unexpected vulnerability and badass women having fraught sexual chemistry are my watchwords for this ship. Does Natasha, who is usually so cool and confident about her skills, feel inexplicably driven to prove herself to May? Is May's respect for the (in)famous Black Widow cut through with a pang of empathy for the obviously dark place she's coming from?
Melinda May/Sharon Carter
Ditto the above about AoS canon. Also ditto the above on May's secret soft side.
Unlike Natasha, Sharon has never lacked a female mentor - she's had Aunt Peggy supporting her career since day one. But May is something brand new. She's a dangerous, cynical, and substantially less blood-related superspy for Sharon to admire. I'd love something set when they're both working for SHIELD: does May help train or induct new recruit Sharon? Do they get assigned a mission together? SHIELD/Hydra internal politics are one of my favourite parts of the MCU, so feel free to lean in hard on the fridge horror of two well-meaning idealists working for a corrupt organisation and a cause they don't even realise they're in on.
Or maybe it's after the fall of SHIELD proper that they come together. May's hitched herself to Coulson's wagon and Sharon has bailed to the CIA - maybe the tables have turned on their power dynamic now, and May's forced to seek help from the much younger woman she used to mentor who now works for the much larger and stronger organisation?

Connix is a bit of a blank slate, backstory-wise, so I'm totally happy for you to make up anything that fits. Maybe she knew Ben before he turned to the dark side? Maybe he was the hot older senator's son back when Connix was starting out as a Navy cadet, while the cold war was still cooling and the truth about Leia's parentage was still a secret? I don't imagine Ben has been particularly suave at any point in his life, but perhaps at that age Connix thinks he's very suave and mature and mysterious and all that.
Or maybe we're picking up their story after Ben turns (or after he turns again and defects from the First Order). Connix, by this stage in her life a hardened and devoted freedom fighter, is forced to confront her younger self's appalling taste in men ... only to realise that maybe that taste hasn't changed so much after all?

Thank you so much for writing for me! I love every fandom, character and ship I've requested and will be unreservedly thrilled to match on any of them. It turns out I have a ton of ships that technically meet the age gap criteria, but for this exchange I've mainly focused on ships where the characters' ages are a big part of the appeal for me. I'd really love a gift that acknowledges the age gap, whether or not it's the main focus.

Qi'ra/Ben Solo | Kylo Ren
Qi'ra is a smart, ambitious survivor who's willing to use sex and intimacy to get what she wants. Kylo is a handy source of power and also a bottomless pit of easy-to-manipulate emotional needs. I'd love to see virgin Kylo with older woman Qi'ra, or maybe Qi'ra indulging her nurturing side with a younger and more energetic toyboy. Maybe she's using him to get to Snoke, or to keep the First Order out of her private cartel business. Or maybe she sees herself as a mentor figure of sorts, an early exponent of letting the past die and becoming who you were meant to be.
I'm heavily into the Oedipal potential here: is Kylo hyper-aware that he's fucking his dad's ex? Is Qi'ra nostalgic for Han? Does it bother either of them that she's old enough to be his mother? Please feel free to lean into the age gap and keep-it-in-the-family vibe as hard as you like.
Alternatively: redeemed (ish) Ben Solo walks away from the Order but isn't quite ready to join the Fight Against Evil. Working for Qi'ra is a decent morally grey option.

I'd love to see inexperienced, rough-and-ready young Rey with a smart, ruthless, manipulative older woman. I can picture Qi'ra as a freewheeling criminal agent in a post-First Order takeover world, playing both sides and keeping channels open with the Resistance for shady reasons of her own. I'd especially love anything that touches on her history with Han, or anything that plays up the age gap and Rey's desperate need for a parental/mentor figure.

I'd love to see the two of them build a relationship of some kind, either with Kylo in full First Order meltdown mode or redeemed Ben Solo cooperating with the Resistance afterwards.

Phasma and Rey had similar nightmare childhoods that they've dealt with in totally opposing ways: Phasma has turned out ruthless and power-hungry, while Rey has escaped Jakku full of justice and compassion and the will to make the world a better place. I love this ship in all its dark and conflict-fueled glory, but I'd also melt for Rey showing Phasma some unexpected kindness. I love the vibe of corrupted, cynical darkside warrior and vibrant young optimist who can't help seeing the best in people.

I'm intrigued by Kylo's volatility towards Snoke: the brainwashed hero-worship, the seething resentment, the willingness to turn on a dime and gorily murder him. I also have a weakness for cracky stories about big scary villains being secret failboats, so would welcome something darkly funny about their student/mentor relationship or the inner workings of the First Order bureaucracy.
I'm also totally here for Snoke the super-creep using sex as a tool of control and a way to reward/punish/manipulate Kylo. Or some one-sided pining from Kylo: maybe there's a sexual/romantic element to his worship, or a simple longing for affection in whatever form it takes?
Rey/Luke Skywalker/Ben Solo | Kylo Ren
This ship is ripe for all the love triangle angst: Luke is wracked by the guilt of his past failures and desperate to make things right now that he's once again responsible for training a powerful young Force user. Kylo has the world's largest Luke-shaped chip on his shoulder, his need to prove himself the stronger man clashing with his need for approval. Rey - I love that line from Daisy Ridley about Kylo nurturing her the way Rey can't. There's so much to play with there. I'm very much fine with all the paired elements of this ship, but would also love it as a proper triad where they're all three equally invested - honestly, whatever configuration you like is fine!
