Hmmm I saw the Devereaux post cross my flist when he first posted it and I am still kind of rotating it in my mind like a mug cake in a microwave. He writes very well but when he starts off with 'let's look at neorealism to explain how countries ought to be behaving, and then look at Why they're not doing that' I just want to pick him up by the collar like. Buddy. Maybe we ought not start with neorealism then? (His comments section taking an Immediate turn for 'multi-ethnic states can almost never be functioning liberal democracies' sure was also uhhhh).
