THIS is the shit I want from him you guys. No more clever artsy stuff. No more unconvincing foreign accents. No more Oscar bait. Adam Driver belongs on a spaceship, wielding silly sci-fi weapons and getting beaten up. HE HAS A KID TO LOOK AFTER THIS TIME. AND THERE ARE DINOSAURS. AND DANNY ELFMAN IS DOING THE SCORE.

I'M SO FUCKING HYPED THIS NEEDS TO BE OUT ALREADY.

Oh wow. That looks a bit like The Road meets Jurassic Park meets Prometheus!

(Loved Adam in The Last Duel, btw.)

Oh good to hear that the book was worth the read! I thought about getting it too but then I already have too many historiographic books sitting half-unread on my bedside table that I still need to work through… #lesigh

Filling the Marguerite gap in the film - that was well done in the film, wasn’t it? And the Rashomon like structure was very apt.

Haven’t seen Gucci or Annette either (but I confess, I’m such an arthouse snob, usually - if it’s not some depressing Austrian Ulrich Seidl film or some fancy pants experimental documentary I won’t bother going to the cinema… unless it’s a guilty pleasure, of course… ahem ☺️).

Oooh, I love the premise of this taking place 65 Mio years ago!! And well, I thought it was an meteorite near today's Yucatán, but Adam Driver blowing up parts of Earth with futuristic weapons and thus nuking the dinos also makes some sense. :D
