More unsolicited screamy lady recs
May. 15th, 2021 09:29 amLife is Happening a lot lately, so most of my listening time has been spent on comforting repeats. But I've found two new bands who are so good that they've assimilated smoothly into the comforting repeat queue.
Agrimonia is sludgy, crusty and beautifully bleak. I've had the discography running in the background a lot; Awaken and the self-titled are the only two albums I've paid close attention to, but they're both so good that my desire to replay them keeps overriding any plans to give the rest a chance.
Ischemic released a completely DIY album from lockdown this year, and honestly, I'm not sold on it yet. What I am is completely obsessed with their 2018 Stagnation and Woe. 'Witchcraft' is one of those songs I can't resist repeating over and over - it's such a simple riff, but so effective.
