Dear Stylist
Some notes that are hopefully helpful: I have no strong feelings about the line between gen and romance, so please don’t worry about your work not being shippy enough, or being dark rather than romantic, or anything. Past or background ships are welcome in any gender configuration, regardless of what I've requested for the main ship. Love triangles, poly, and multiple relationships within one work are all welcome. While I've suggested some ships here and there, I not only understand but actively love the fact that these details are optional. Seriously, gift me the crackship of your heart! Inaugurate a new ship tag! Introduce me to your blorbo who's listed in the credits as Background Guy #3 and who no one else has ever noticed! Or go ahead and garnish the fandom juggernaut ship with sprigs of a trope I love – hey, it's popular for a reason! I'm truly down for anything.
If a prompt seems to suggest a longer story, I’d also be thrilled with a short scene or excerpt based on that concept. Ditto, if a prompt sounds fic-oriented, please feel free to adapt it to your preferred use. I'm requesting both fic and art for everything and am totally open to treats in other media. Please don't take length or number of prompts as a mark of how much I do or don't want a particular fandom - I want them all! I just have a bunch of old material to copy/paste for characters I've been requesting for ages, while newer requests are a bit more sparse.
General info
โ Do not want- Underage: explicit <18 sex, any <16 sex, any <13 romance
- Cross-generation incest
- Any mention of child death, including pregnancy loss
- Child harm, except as angsty backstory for main characters
- AUs other than canon divergence (incl trope AUs: please no omegaverse, soulmarks etc)
- Unrequested identity headcanons
- Poetry, first person POV (unless in an unconventional format such as epistolary)
- Unwarned major character death (tag or author’s note appreciated!)
- "Hard" xeno (enthusiastic yes to sex with closely humanoid characters, no thanks to sex with Hutts or Wookiees or anyone non-speech-capable or with human-incompatible genitalia)
- Art-specific DNW: extreme gore (blood/cuts/bruises good, innards bad).
โญ Story likes
- anything with a strong character focus
- characters who are flawed and abrasive and challenging to love; difficult or dysfunctional relationships
- any level of shippiness or non-shippiness: pre-ship, relationships that don't work out or gennish plot-based fic with my requested ship as a secondary focus are all a-okay with me
- dark/gritty/moody aesthetics
- imperfect happiness, bittersweetness, unfulfilled yearning
- complicated, bittersweet twists on seemingly fluffy premises
- ensemble casts, background characters, outsider POV
- established partners luring confused newcomer into their polycule
- competence porn, especially of the ’walking human disaster is also breathtakingly competent’ variety
- mundane details, little moments of human vulnerability
- politics, bureaucracy, propaganda
- banter, snark, gallows humour, quippiness
- guilty pleasures: denying them, suppressing them, and finally giving into temptation
- tropes: hurt/comfort, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, huddling for warmth, fake relationships, bodyswap
- descriptions of food, characters eating or sharing food, food as comfort
- kidfic: the ups and downs of new parenthood; characters with fraught pasts determined to do better for their kids; tough guys going soft over little ones; dwelling in lavish, messy, sticky, smiley detail on how cute babies are (biokids, surprise acquisitions, OCs or canonical kids drawn however implausibly into my ship's care are all good)
- military details
- harsh environments, brutal weather, survival/adventure stories
- redemption (or failed redemption)
- religion
- meta-fic stuff: subversions, tongue-in-cheek use of tropes, crack treated (semi-)seriously, genre-savvy characters, narratorial asides, really anything that engages playfully with the fictional world we're sharing
- non-standard formats: creative POVs, drabbles, non-linear narratives, social media, in-universe meta.
๐จ Art likes
Any of my fic likes that can translate visually are just as relevant to my taste in art. For any of my ficcier prompts or favourite tropes, I'd be over the moon to receive an illustration from the hypothetical fic that fills them. I love shadowy colour palettes and dark/gothy/edgy styles and an overall moody gloom. I love symbolism and meaningful visual motifs, and I'm open to oblique, metaphorical depictions of ships just as much as pictures of people kissing. (But I am also, to be clear, still very keen on pictures of people kissing.) Action scenes are great. Weapons are great. Costume porn is great. Cool locations and eye-catching props or backgrounds are great.
On a different note, fluffy art is also amazing. I love chibis, cuddle piles and all manner of sugary cuteness. Polka dots or rainbows in the background just because? You son of a bitch, I'm in. My ship holds hands in the background while their new pet hamster frolics across most of the canvas? Just make sure that little guy's cheeks are as chubby as they come! Throw my grumpy black-clad faves into a scene of lollipops and sparkles? I'll squeal so much that even my ship's new pet hamster will think I'm shrill. I also adore that trend of tiny chibi characters with food items larger than they are.
For explicit art, I've no objection to seeing genitals, but they're never really the main draw for me, if that makes sense? I'm more interested in what's going on with the characters' bodies overall, the feelings of intimacy and need and desire between them, and most especially in the expressions on their faces. I prefer natural, “flawed” bodies over Hollywood-perfect ones, so please feel free and encouraged to include details that a Playboy photographer might have preferred to airbrush out!
Some fandom-neutral prompts:
- Love interest helps LBD by tending their wounds, supporting their weight or simply cradling their head while they lie hurt on the ground. My favourite kinds of visual whump include bruises, black eyes, split lips, bloodstains, lacerations, being trapped under something heavy or chained up.
- Food - show the characters eating together, playfully handfeeding each other, wearing flourstained aprons or laying out a picnic blanket. I go soft for bulging cheeks, starry eyes, greedily wide open mouths and detailed drawings of the food itself. If it fits your style, I also adore that trend of tiny chibi characters with food items larger than they are.
- A passionate kiss or hug with the characters holding each other tight enough to hurt.
- LBD falls apart on love interest's shoulder (crying, or else sagging against them and looking exhausted.)
- Poly love interests sandwich LBD between them for erotic or affectionate purposes.
- LBD and love interest train or work out together. I love athleticism, action poses, weaponry, sweat, hair coming loose / falling in eyes and a general sense of movement.
- Costume porn, especially of the black-on-black variety. Some of my requested characters are already rocking that trve kvlt black metal aesthetic, and the ones that aren't can be easily made to do so! I love straps and studs and buckles. I love leather, kevlar and coarse, tough fabric textures. I love red accents. I love armour and weapons carry. I love shaggy dark hair that falls in the eyes. I love goth power couples, but I equally love the visual contrast of 'A shops exclusively at Hot Topic' / 'B loves bubblegum pink and sparkles'.
๐ Dark likes
I love my dark themes both overt and covert - if you're not feeling the in-your-face disasterfest, by all means creep me out with subtle insinuations or dark twists to sweet-seeming premises. Some favourite themes:
- unreliable narrators
- characters doing terrible things for sympathetic reasons
- grey morality, antiheroes, villain-centred morality
- extremist politics, callous bureaucracies, the mundane horrors of life under the jackboot
- 'ugly' mental illness: violence, paranoia, self-destructiveness, warped thinking
- self-harm, suicide attempts or ideation
- psychological horror
- coercion, blackmail, abuse of power
- victim blaming
- self-harm, self-destructiveness, suicide attempts
- physical torture: flogging, beating, burrning, bone-breaking, electrocuting
- psychological/'enhanced interrogation' style torture: sleep deprivation, solitary confinement, stress positions, extreme noise and temperature, deliberate humiliation.
๐ Smut likes
In general I love sex that says something about the people involved, that's awkward and imperfect and humanising. Specific sex acts are less important to me than characterisation: I'm ready and eager to be sold on pretty much any kink if it's being used as a lens to bring my faves’ desires, beliefs, motives, hangups and relationship skills (or lack thereof) into focus.
Some dynamics I’m reliably weak for:
- I can’t believe I get to touch this exquisite goddess, I’m so overwhelmed
- Ugh this jerk drives me mad but I can’t seem to keep my hands off them
- I’m an actual human disaster and this sex is going to have to make up for the therapy I’m not getting
- This love is forbidden and could ruin my life but I just can’t resist.
And a few of my forever favourite kinks, if a more specific starting point is helpful:
- orgasm delay/denial, sexual frustration, begging
- coming too quickly, loss of control, getting overwhelmed
- rough sex, hate sex, power imbalances
- on the other hand: tender, adoring, needy sex with lavish attention to each other's pleasure
- frottage, dry humping, clothed sex
- sex pollen
- different erogenous zones, being sensitive in non-genital places
- anal sex (het, slash or femslash), double or multiple penetration
- sounding, watersports, forced wetting
- public use, gangbangs
- loss of virginity, inexperience, clumsy sex
- praise kink
- scar worship
- uncomfortable, consensual-but-unpleasant type sex
- under-negotiated kinks
- any level of complex, problematic or questionable consent.

The Locked Tomb
โค๏ธ Our Lady of the Passion
Requested categories: LBD/F, LBD/F/F
Ships I don't want: Nona, Ianthe
Why she's a wardrobe staple: I came away from Nona absolutely obsessed with Blood of Eden in general and Pash in particular. I love love love the whole idea of this mundane(-ish) rebel militia out there in Magical Topsy-Turvy Necromancer World, fighting a hopelessly asymmetrical war against an enemy that can literally eat planets for breakfast. I love the desperation, the anger, the extremism, the incredible courage and the devastating corrosion of the Edenites' humanity as they push themselves to such heartless lengths for such a sympathetic cause. I love Pash for her toughness, her fanaticism, her shitty attitude, her abrasive persona, her inability to get along with basically anyone - and, despite all that, the loyalty she commands from her soldiers and the trust from her superiors. I love the jarring contradictions she embodies of defiance and obedience, of coolness and uncoolness, of ego and self-sacrifice, of callousness and a love for the cause so deep that she's willing to stake everything she has on it. I love her machetes and her blue hair and her facial scars. (Artists: I really, really love her machetes and her blue hair and her facial scars.)
How to wear her:
I hardly even know where to begin prompting for this fandom - I just want more of it all! More of Pash's radicalised upbringing, more of the various (fr)enmities she has going on with her fellow Edenites, more of her competence as a bodyguard, her hatred of necromancers, her distrust of Cam and Pyrrha, her disdain for Judith, her willingness to impulsively drop everything and go charging off on terrifying missions into enemy territory. If your fanwork stars Pash and avoids my DNWs, I can pretty much guarantee I'm going to be in love with it no matter what, so please go wild!
Teixcalaan
๐งก Nineteen Adze
Requested categories: LBD/F, LBD/F/F
Ships I don't want: None for this fandom.
Ship opt-ins: Feel free to ship her with a female OC!
Why she's a wardrobe staple: I'm in love with her razor's edge balance of decency and ruthlessness, of political cynicism and deep, loving loyalty, of absolute power and precarious political vulnerability that she's always working six steps ahead of everyone else to stave off. I adore her strong personal branding - all that stark white against the technicolour backdrop of Teixcalaanli culture - and the devotion she's able to inspire among her inner circle. I love that she's so likable and human but at the same time so hard. I really have no strong feelings about her relationships with Six Direction and Yskandr - I love the complicated angst they provide her with and am fine with them being mentioned for that purpose, but the relationships themselves don't really capture my interest and I'd much rather the screen time be devoted to her and your lady(/ies) of choice.
How to wear her:
Let her have an emotionally complex fling with Mahit, who is so much like Yskandr until she really, really isn't. I spent the whole first book hoping this would happen and I don't see why it shouldn't - it doesn't even have to get in the way of Mahit/Three Seagrass, since romantic exclusivity doesn't seem to be a huge thing in the Teixcalaanli court.
(For that matter, why not let her be involved with Mahit AND Three Seagrass? Two young lovers and their much older, more jaded, more powerful lover/mentor/protector/whatever the hell this is ... that would be hot. <3)
Help her resolve things with her wayward generals through the trusty medium of intense, politically charged D/s.
Explore her history with Five Agate. Is their loyalty to each other really just professional, or is there/has there been an intimate connection? I'd love to see Nineteen Adze mentoring Five Agate, blurring the boundary between employer and confidant, perhaps supporting her during her pregnancy and early motherhood.
Pair her up with a Teixcalaanli OFC as an excuse for some worldbuilding! I'd love to hear more about Nineteen Adze's history of service as one of Six Direction's ezuazuacatlim, her careful curation of her own inner circle as Emperor, or perhaps a lover from outside the court who she can't openly be with for reasons of political scandal?
Star Wars
For all my Star Wars requests, I opt in to crossovers with any other Star Wars property within Disney's canon! I've requested my LBDs under their respective subfandoms rather than AMT purely because I'm not interested in Legends, but go ahead and ship them with characters from any of the other canonical films, shows, books, comics, cartoons or games - so long as you'll forgive me for potentially missing some subfadom-specific nuances, I'm very happy to come in "canon-blind" if your star war of choice turns out to be one I'm less familiar with.๐ Alexsandr Kallus
Requested categories: LBD/F, LBD/F/F, LBD/M, LBD/M/F
Ships I don't want: Zeb, Ahsoka
Why he's a wardrobe staple: I'd love to know more about Kallus's post-defection life, and the connections he makes (with either his canon crew or with the wider Rebel Alliance) while he sorts through his ex-Imperial baggage and figures out a new value system to replace his old broken one. I'd love to see him build a civilian life for himself after the war, or get roped back into the fight - Against the former Imperial warlords wreaking havoc across the New Republic? Against old allies who resent his defection? Against the First Order? I'd also love to dip back into his ISB past, and see him struggling with the loneliness and moral uncertainty that eventually led him to defect.
How to wear him:
Some lighter ideas: Building a new life for himself after the war. Badass missions with the Ghost crew. Mentoring a new generation of freedom fighters in the Resistance. Being a cool parent/uncle figure to Jacen.
Some darker ideas: ISB training. Haunted by the ghosts of his past victims. Spooky supernatural brushes with the Force. Watching the rise of the First Order.
๐ Dedra Meero
Requested categories: LBD/F, LBD/F/F
Ships I don't want: Ahsoka, Bix, Eedy
Ship opt-ins: Dedra/Kallus would be so great. :D
Why she's a wardrobe staple: My awful, ghastly, no good, terrible, unrepentantly fascist babygirl! She's a bad person and I love her specifically BECAUSE she's a bad person and I want to roll around forever in what a bad person she is. She is ruthless, selfish, manipulative, emotionally stunted, power-hungry, consumed by ambition and capable of utterly dehumanising anyone who stands in her way. I don't think there's any apology to be made for Dedra. She straight-up sucks and I say that with all the love in the world. :DDD
That's not by any means to say I'm demanding an unsympathetic portrayal! Angsty villains who truly see themselves as having been wronged are great, and I'm very happy to indulge her for the span of a story. I'm also totally down for a redemption arc where she starts growing a conscience and has to grapple with what it says about her ISB career. Or a "redemption" arc where she goes over to the good guys not because she's taking a principled stance against the Empire but because she's mad about how they treated her specifically.
How to wear her:
๐ Synara San
Requested categories: LBD/F, LBD/F/F
Ships I don't want: Ahsoka, Aunt Z, Torra Doza
Why she's a wardrobe staple: Because women who are badass outlaws with hearts of gold are never not sexy. I love the clear-eyed sense of decency and justice Synara has retained despite being raised by cutthroat pirates, and how loyal she is to her friends in the face of any level of danger, and just how smart and competent and multi-talented and adaptable she is. She gets to play the straight man a lot by virtue of being surrounded by goofballs, but I also remain firmly convinced she has a goofy side of her own that's bound to peek out past her tough exterior now and then the longer you know her...
How to wear her:
First off, I ship her and Tam like crazy. The way their burgeoning friendship was cut short, first by Synara's secrets and then by Tam's betrayal, is one thing I really wish the show had done more with and I will always welcome any fanworks that pick up that deliciously fraught and angsty thread.
Secondly, Synara needs to meet the other ST-era ladies! I'd love to see Team Colossus working more closely with the Resistance - perhaps they come back to base after the attack on Exegol, and things develop from there? Perhaps for Reasons she needs to dip her toes back in the criminal underworld, and she just so happens to have a connection with Zorii and the Spice Runners of Kijimi?
I'd also love an in-universe AU that brings Rey or Rose or one of our Resistance heroes into Synara's pre-Resistance world. Enemies to lovers featuring an unshakeable connection between members of two rival pirate gangs! Smuggler teammates AU! Bodyguards! The possibilities are as endless as the GFFA's capacity for rogueish spacefaring antiheroes.
Or maybe she can hook up with one of our previous generation of morally ambiguous troublemakers. Maybe she takes a job for Qi'ra or Aphra and gets more involved than she expected?
๐ Ben Solo | Kylo Ren
โ Request-specific DNW: Ben | Kylo subbing or bottoming for any male darksider. I'm not into the whole dynamic of "Kylo gets dommed by a bigger, badder bad guy"; I'd like him to hold the balance of power, or at least an equal share of it, in any relationship with (for instance) a male First Order officer or Imperial loyalist or the Knights of Ren. He's very welcome to sub/bottom for the good guys, or for women of any moral alignment.
Requested categories: LBD/F, LBD/F/F, LBD/M, LBD/M/F, LBD/M/M, LBD/Many
Ships I don't want: Hux, Snoke, Palpatine
Ship opt-ins: I'm very fond of Kylo in larger "big Resistance puppy pile" type poly relationships (Finn/Poe/Rey/Kylo/Rose/Jacen/...). I haven't requested LBD/Many because I'm not into the LBD/Other aspect, but by all means go to town with as many human/oid partners at once as you like!
Why he's a wardrobe staple: Ben's character arc is everything I've ever wanted out of a villain redemption story. He's got sad childhood memories filled with feelings of inadequacy and abandonment. A catalogue of horrific, deliberately cruel and shocking past misdeeds. An imperfectly suppressed conscience screaming in protest each time he Does An Evil. He thinks he wants to be feared and obeyed, he actually wants to be loved and accepted, and he almost breaks his fork trying to eat both cakes at once. It's an act of selfless, unconditional love that finally gets through to him, and an act of selfless, unconditional love that ends his life when he embraces the light. I love that he dies with a smile on his face, bruised and bleeding but relieved beyond the reach of all pain that he's finally found his purpose. I also love that this is Star Wars and he can come back as a Force ghost boyfriend whenever he likes. I also love that canon is fake, and there are countless ways he can survive the ending of TROS.
How to wear him:
๐ Hera Syndulla
Requested categories: LBD/F, LBD/F/F, LBD/M, LBD/M/F
Ships I don't want: Ahsoka; Kanan as the sole or main shipping focus (past Hera/Kanan is great, Hera/Kanan/[other] is great, Hera/[other] while her loving ghost ex hangs around in the background is great).
Why she's a wardrobe staple: She's kind and gentle but takes no one's shit. She's a brilliant commander and tactician, a dream boss, full of deep feeling but capable of reining in her emotions when other people need her to. I love the rest of the Spectres but let's be real, they'd go straight to hell in a handbasket without her. The number of balls that woman can juggle at once is amazing. I want badass Rebel competence porn, more of Hera coming through for the people she loves, and more of them coming through for her because god, she deserves a break.
How to wear her:
๐ Voe
Requested categories: LBD/F, LBD/F/F
Ships I don't want: Ahsoka
Ship opt-ins: Voe/M or Voe/M/F is welcome if the M is Ben | Kylo, Finn or Poe.
Why she's a wardrobe staple: I love Voe's quick temper and determination, her competitive streak and her bitter struggle to fit herself into the serene Jedi mould. She may not have a Skywalker's innate strength in the Force, but she aims high and works hard and never resigns herself to coming in second. I'd have loved to see more about her in the comics - where she's from, how she ended up at the temple, who she might have become if not for her untimely end.
How to wear her:
I'd also be very into an AU where the minemoon incident never happened at all, either because Ben never fell and they became Jedi together, or because Voe dropped out of Jedi school before that point. Maybe her temper or competitive streak got the better of her, and instead of continuing to beat her head against that brick wall, she uses her semi-developed Force powers to help her build a new career as a [stunt pilot who pulls off tricks no one else can / journalist who somehow always knows where the next scoop is / smuggler who's eerily good at avoiding patrols / politician who no one can seem to resist supporting once they've talked to her / insert other cool career here]!
