Obscure thirstpost about death metal vocalist

My quest to listen to more harsh female vocals continues with Aephanemer, a French symphonic melodeath band helmed by Marion Bascoul. Since walgesang  mentioned an interest in music videos, I checked theirs out to see if there was anything worth plugging on its own merit. My conclusions are as follows:

1. The music is fucking beautiful and I'm going to be listening to it a lot. Twitter says they have a new album coming soon, so that's exciting.
2. The videos hold nothing of interest for anyone who doesn't already resonate on a deep emotional level with the sight of European metalheads headbanging in unlikely wilderness locations.
3. Oh fuck, Marion Bascoul is gorgeous and I have a hopeless crush on her now.

I have a type, okay? I can't say no to black-clad people with lank dark hair, sullen energy, and hooked noses or otherwise starkly angular facial features. I just can't. This is the same reason I'm hot for Kylo Ren, Trilla Suduri and Lousine Gevorkyan. It's why I controversially find Loki most attractive in his Ragnarok "witch" outfit, and why I'm the only person in the world who stans Proxima Midnight. If you have a fave of any gender who fits this description, rec them to me no matter how obscure and I can all but guarantee you a new convert.

I'm obsessed with her hair. It's a very similar colour to mine - a little more streaked - but I've been so self-conscious about my premature greying and this new crush has caused me to tentatively rethink it. Maybe I don't have to dye all the time. Maybe instead of waging a losing war against the unstoppable passage of time, I too can live my truth as a badass metal lady with natural salt-and-pepper roots. Food for thought.

My go-to for the type you're describing is Jeremy Brett. I haven't heard of several of the people you mention and will need to rectify this!

I just looked up Jeremy Brett and oh, man, he is beautiful. It's the nose! I have no idea what it is about that kind of nose but DAMN. Looks like I have some old film and TV to watch. I'm always ready for a spot of Sherlock.

Yay! I confess he is my one and only Sherlock and it's probably because of the very things you mention. He is a delight on screen and Edward Hardwicke is a wonderful foil as Watson. I highly recommend!
